The course will help students better understand the concepts of 5D BIM, which is the result of adding the two dimensions of cost and time to the 3D BIM design. The course imparts the skills of breaking complex projects into simple tasks and assigning cost, materials, man power, and time for each task, besides simulating construction designs. The students will learn how to generate reports to show the progress - or lack thereof - of the projects.Â
Upon the completion of the course, students will be able to create the scope of a construction project, its cost estimation, and results of simulating designs. The key topics covered include:
